A. Compliance under Labour Laws and Legislations

The Factories Act 1948:

• Approval of Factory Plans (new or extension of Factory).

• Obtaining of new Factory Act License or renewal of it.

• Submitting Stability Certificate

Applicable to any manufacturing activity employing 20 workers/employee with power other than manual or mechanical, 40 workers/employee without power-direct or indirect.

The Employees Provident Funds and Pension Scheme 1952:

• Registration of Establishment and getting new Business Number (EPF Code.)

• Representation of Management in 7A matters.

• Routing compliance under the Act.

• Assistance in Inspection.

• Submission of PF withdrawal and transfer forms.

Applicable to any industry shops, commercial establishment or factory employing 20 direct and indirect employees


The Employees State Insurance Act 1948.

• Registration of Establishment and getting new Business Number (ESI Code.)

• Representation of Management in Enquiry matters- ESI dues.

• Routing compliance under the Act. Monthly Challans,

• Assistance in Inspection

Applicable to any shops or establishment employing 20 or more employees (direct or indirect) drawing wages or salary up to Rs. 21,000 per month. Any manufacturing activity (Factory) 10 or more employees (direct and indirect) irrespective of salary of employees.

The Payment of Bonus Act 1965:

• Maintenance of Bonus Registers in Form A, B and C.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishment and Factories employing 10 or more employees (direct and indirect) drawing wages or salary up to Rs. 21,000 per month.


The Labour Contract (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1971:

• Registration of Principal Employer and getting Registration Certificate.

• Amendment in Registration Certificate.

• Obtaining Labour Contract License of Contractor.

• Submitting Annual Returns.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishment and Factories employing 50 or more employees through contractors.

The Bombay Shops and Establishments Act, 1948.:

• Registration under the Act and getting Shop Act License

• Renewal of Shop Act License periodically.

• Implementation of Leave provisions under the Act

• Providing an advice on the provisions of the Act.

• Assistance in case of Inspection.

Applicable to any proprietary, partnership firm or Private Ltd or Ltd Company, Co-operative Banks, Credit Co-op. Societies or any other institutions having commercial motive for Head Office, Registered office, branch office, stores or warehouse. Where 10 or more employee are employed in the establishment.


The Payment of Gratuity Act:

• Submitting notice of opening to the Authority under the Act.

• Obtaining nomination forms of the employees.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishment and Factories employing 10 or more employees (direct and indirect) which has completed one year of business.

Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act:

• Registration under the Act.

• Six monthly deduction of Labour Welfare Fund from the employee’s salary based on their monthly salary and submitting returns to the MLW Board.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries employing 5 or more employees directly and indirectly.


Equal Remuneration Act:

• Maintaining required registers under the Act.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries employing male, female employees directly and indirectly.

Maternity Benefit Act:

• To maintain Register under the Act in Form 10

• To submit Annual Return to the appropriate authority under the Act in Form 11

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries employing 10 or more employees directly and indirectly.


The Employees Compensation Act:

• Adjudge the applicability of the Act.

• To advise on compliance of the Act.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries where persons are employed directly or through contractor for wages, salary, or reward.

The Payment of Wages Act:

• Abstract of the Act

• Fine Register

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries where persons are employed directly or through contractor for wages, salary, or reward.


The Minimum Wages Act:

• To verify the wages of employees as per applicable minimum wages

• Advice to maintain Attendance cum Wage Register in form 20.

• Displaying Rate of applicable Minimum Wages.

Applicable to any shops, commercial establishments, factories or industries where persons are employed directly or through contractor for wages, salary, or reward.

The Employment Exchange Notification Act:

• Online Registration of Establishment.

• To submit online Quarter Return A1.


B.Audit of Compliance under various Labour Laws.

• Audit of compliance under the provisions of applicable Labour Laws in respect of Principal Employer and the Labour Contract.

• Providing suggestions to comply with provisions.

• Submission of Audit Report.


C.Industrial Relations

• Advise on disciplinary Actions to deal with indiscipline on the part of employees.

• Conducting Domestic Enquiry as Enquiry Officer

D.Policy on Sexual Harassment of Women Employees in the Company

• Advice to prepare Policy and to form Sexual Harassment Committee as per the Act.

• Submission of Sexual Harassment Committee to The Labour Commissioner’s Office, Pune.
